Who is Martin Cole?
Back when I started trading (near 20 years) the only way to find out who was doing what, was if you had a very friendly broker. You were in fact hearing information from the ‘horses mouth’ so to speak.
Today on the Internet one can find a 1,000 self proclaimed trading gurus all claiming huge success and then politely asking you to send them about $97.00 for the lost secret of the ages on how to trade forex.
What value are they? Do they really know what they are doing? I will leave you to answer those two questions for yourself.
So where do I fit into this?
Some years ago I decided to show a few people what I did. But I wanted to really show them, that is I wanted to place trades in a live trading environment. I wanted to make it real as real could be.
I hired a conference room, got in a satellite technician (remember there was no internet in those days) who hooked us up live to a satellite data feed. When my first group came through the door on day one, 15 of the 20 had already been on a selection of courses. They stared in amazement around the room at all the screens.
What’s the matter? I asked
“We did not think you meant we would be getting to see everything in real time” they replied.
I soon learned that many of them had been on several courses which basically showed historic charts and told them where they ‘could have’ or ‘would have’ made money.
Well let’s not put to finer point on this…….its ‘poppycock’ any fool can show you historic results and tell you where you could have or would have.
My training courses never wavered from showing it live, real time never knowing where the next bar on the chart was going to end up. Isn’t that the real world of trading? Isn’t that the real way to learn how to trade for yourself?
I am now semi-retired living in spectacular New Zealand and today I still offer this very same live trading via a recorded course that you get to play over as many times as you wish. In many ways the recorded trading course is better than the live one as you get to sit in as many times as you wish.
